Elopement & intimate
wedding photographer

Some of the best weddings I have ever photographed had fewer than twenty people at them. No seating charts. No receiving lines. No speeches that go on too long. Just the two of you, the people who matter most, and a few hours to actually be present. If that sounds like your kind of day, I would love to be there.
What makes a good elopement photograph
The honest answer is: proximity. When a wedding is small, I can be closer to you. Not physically in the way — but close enough to catch the look you exchange before you say your vows. The way your hands are shaking slightly, or the quiet laugh you share when something small goes wrong and you realise it does not matter. Those are the photographs that stay on your wall. They exist because the day was calm enough to notice them.
Where I photograph elopements around Cape Town
I am based in Woodstock and photograph elopements and intimate weddings across Cape Town and the Western Cape — on the mountain, at the coast, in the Winelands, or wherever your day takes you. Some of my favourite locations for smaller weddings:
• Chapman's Peak and the Atlantic Seaboard
• The Winelands — Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, Paarl
• Boulders Beach and the southern peninsula
• Private fynbos farms and botanical reserves
• City venues with character — Woodstock, the V&A Waterfront, De Waterkant
If your venue is not on this list, ask me. I shoot across South Africa and travel internationally for the right couple.
What is included
...
The Intimate package was designed specifically for elopements and small ceremonies — up to 40 guests, up to six hours of photography, one photographer, professional editing and retouching, approximately 400–600 high-resolution images, and digital delivery via a private online gallery. Starting from R23,000, including travel within 120km of Cape Town. For locations beyond this, travel is calculated at R4.50/km with one night's accommodation where required.
For the couple who is choosing this intentionally
...
I want to say something directly: choosing an elopement or a small wedding is not a compromise. It is often the most considered decision a couple can make. I have photographed hundreds of weddings. The ones where I see the couple most clearly — most themselves — are almost always the small ones. Less performance. More presence. If you are worried that your family will be disappointed, or that your photographs will feel less significant because there are fewer people in them: they will not. The light is the same. The emotion is the same. In many ways it is more. I would love to document your day.

FAQ

Can we do a couple shoot before the wedding?
Yes, and I always recommend it. A one-hour couple shoot before your wedding day means you already know how to move with me, where to look, when to ignore me. By the time your wedding arrives, you are completely comfortable in front of the camera — and it shows in the photographs. Couple shoots start at R2,700.
Do you travel outside Cape Town?
Yes. I photograph weddings and elopements across South Africa and travel internationally. For destinations beyond 120km from Cape Town, travel is charged at R5/km, and one night's accommodation is required. Get in touch with your location, and I will give you a specific quote.
How do we book?
To secure your date, I require a 50% retainer and a signed contract. Dates are not held without both. Once your retainer is paid, you will receive a confirmed booking invoice. The remaining balance is due 14 days before your wedding.
When will we receive our photographs?
Turnaround depends on the season. For intimate weddings, typically 6–8 weeks. For larger events, 8–10 weeks. Your gallery will be delivered digitally with full download access.

Let's talk about your day

If you are planning an elopement or intimate wedding in Cape Town, the Winelands, or anywhere in the Western Cape, I would love to hear from you. Tell me your date, your venue, if you have one, and a little about what you are planning. I will get back to you.
